Taxes
City Hall is full of wasteful spending, including the $25 million dollar designer footbridge and the thousands of tax dollars Linda Fox-Mellway spends on Bernard Callebaut chocolates and dry cleaning. Richard proposes:
- Ending taxpayer funded dry-cleaning and other personal expenses which Aldermen have billed the taxpayer for
- Putting new infrastructure projects up for competitive tendering so that Calgarians see the best value for their money
- Doing an operational review on current spending to eliminate waste, duplication, and unnecessary red tape
Richard will fight to end wasteful spending and bring in tough accountability rules so that Calgarians can keep more of their tax dollars in their pockets.
